Great Inspirations: Alex Hirsch

Alex Hirsch is best known as the creator of Gravity Falls, an animated show on the Disney Channel. The first time I layed eyes on that show, I fell in love with the art style and writing. Alex does most of the writing—he even does some voice acting! Alex said in multiple interviews that he based Gravity Falls on the vacations he and his twin sister Ariel took when they were younger. The whole show was how he wanted those boring summer vacations to be like. Alex loves mysteries and mythological creatures and he incorporates that in Gravity Falls. He has influenced me to write what I would like to see in a TV show or comic series. Becoming your own fan of your work really helps making it fun!
